Grant Seminar Hosted by International Paper

The International Paper Company Foundation will host a Grant Seminar on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Texarkana College. Non-profit charitable groups classified as 501(c)(3)organizatins by the US IRS code are invited to attend the event. Scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Busniness and Computer Technology Building, the seminar is free but space is limited.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide interested applicants with information about International Paper's giving strategy and useful information about the grant application process. Amanda Black-Keeney, the Texarkana Mill Communications Manger, will present the grant information.

International Paper's Texarkana Mill annually distributes $50,000 to eligible area schools, nonprofits and municipalitites through its IP Foundation grants initiative. Grants awarded have supported literacy enhancements, outdoor learning centers, educational programs, social services and critical community needs.
