The City of Atlanta owns and operates three municipal parks with facilities which include lighted basketball courts, picnic areas, playgrounds, wildlife and nature trails, and eight lighted baseball/softball fields. Facilities are available for group functions.

In 1999 the city completed construction of a new 88-acre park and baseball complex. Atlanta was recently designated as a Crown Community by American City and Country Magazine for the innovative financing and community involvement in completion of the park project.
