Message From the City Manager
On behalf of the dedicated employees of the City of Atlanta, I want to welcome you to our website. Our
mission is to provide exemplary municipal services to our residents, and our entire staff is dedicated
to that purpose.
Coming off the heels of a national recession, we’re starting to see some “signs of life” in the
economy. Our local budget has been severely impacted, as property tax and sales tax collections have
been down over the past two years. However, we’re starting to see some new commercial construction
activity and that’s welcome news.
We’re working hard to land new restaurants and retail stores in our downtown area. We’re also focusing
on industrial companies at the business park. We’re excited about Atlanta’s future.
The Atlanta Economic Development Authority recently partnered with GoZoe Wireless to bring high-speed
internet access to the community. If you’re in an underserved area, you may want to check out
